The château Turgot in Normandy

the chateau turgot in normandy

You will find the Château Turgot’s cottages (gites) in a tower of a beautiful 17th century castle, built in 1664 for the Turgot family. The central structure was destroyed near 1860, but its impressive towers are still here.

Just a few years ago we renovated these towers and created 4 gites in order to share with you this charming place. There are 2 gites on the first floor and 2 gites on the second floor, The entrance is on the ground floor.

Located in the countryside, but just  5 minutes away from the A88 motorway (Caen-Argentan), in the Calvados, Château Turgot is very well situated to discover the Normandy region and to spend a good time with friends or family.

The château has got 4 individual gites, which can be all connected if you want to rent the château as a whole. Each gite is a comfortable 85 m2 appartment which can receive 6 people, with 3 twin bedrooms, a bathroom, a completely equipped kitchen and a 30m² living room.

In the case you want to rent the entire château : in total there are 24 beds and you can add 6 people up to a total of 30 people (there are already 3 sofabeds for 2 people each, in 3 livingrooms). You can eat all together in the biggest livingroom (37m²).

In each kitchen you will find: a microwave, a fridge with small freezer, a gas cooker, a coffeemachine, a kettle and a toaster.

All cottages have a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a dishwasher. The Wi-Fi connection is everywhere and for free.

Free parking is available outside for about ten cars and there is a common garden with bbq. Right next to the château you will find the famous Turgot stud farm that you can visit by appointment, with a nice barnyard with chicken, ducks, turkey, goose and peacocks.
